Abstract
The purpose of this study was to describe the form of parental participation for quality improvement of physical education learning for class IV at SDI Toang, Elar Selatan district, East Manggarai Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study are the parents of fourth grade students at SDI Toang. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation data analysis is done by collecting data, data reduction, display data, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research concluded that: the form of parantel participation of students in learning physical education for class IV SDI Toang is still lacking, starting from meeting children’s needs, providing guidance, providing facilities, and providing motivation for children. This is because it is influenced by several inhibiting factors, namely internal factors which include lack of support from parents, less fulfillment of children’s needs, and lack of motivation from parents and external factors which include the state of the social, community, and school environment.
