Abstract

The development of information technology has become very significant, allowing users to access data or information quickly, effectively and accurately. However, the employee data management system still uses manual methods, including the attendance and payroll systems, which causes administrative inefficiencies and increases the potential for errors in data collection and bookkeeping. This research aims to design a web information system with geolocation technology, using a waterfall engineering approach involving needs analysis, design, implementation, testing and maintenance. This web application, developed with the codeigniter framework, suits the specific needs of the office and takes into account employee needs. A new paradigm in human resource management, encouraging the creation of effective web-based solutions for employee payroll and attendance. Implementation of geolocation as a security measure, with certain radius limitations. The web application development process follows a waterfall engineering approach, involving requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. This application is expected to provide innovative and practical solutions in managing payroll and attendance by considering employee needs. So that the designed form of employee data management information successfully achieves its objectives and provides an integrated solution to improve the employee data management process through the use of website-based geolocation
