Abstract

This research was carried out at SMPN 2 Ende, where the problem in the school is that student learning outcomes are still low which is influenced by the lack of use of varied learning methods. This research aims to determine student learning outcomes through the Project Based Learning model regarding the Pythagorean theorem. To improve student learning outcomes, it is necessary to apply the Project Based Learning model because this learning model can solve problems in the Pythagorean theorem material. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research with data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. This learning process is carried out in stages, namely the planning stage (planning), the action (implementation) stage, the observer stage (observation and the reflection stage (reflection) which is called a cycle. This research occurred in 2 cycles with the same implementation stages. Based on the results of the analysis the observation results of student activities in cycle I was 78.26% and in cycle II it was 87.27% in cycle I was 81.42% and in cycle II was 90% Learning can improve student learning outcomes on Pythagorean theorem material.
