Abstract

The purpose of this study is to enhance students' mathematical attitudes in solving geometry problems at the Van Hiele level through the Project-Based Learning model. This type of design research includes systematic learning. Data collection methods include Van Hiele level tests, mathematical attitude observations, and problem-solving tests. Design research data analysis techniques used qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study showed that students have levels 0 to 2 of the Van Hiele level of thinking. The results of the statistical test using the F-test and the significance value for the observed mathematical attitude variable are a high F value of 30.882, indicating a significant average difference. The results of the N-gain Score test showed a range of values ??between 78 and 87, with an average of 81.40 and a standard deviation of 1.235. This indicates that respondents overall have relatively high gain scores and low variability, so that mathematical attitude has a significant influence on differences in mathematical attitudes. Based on the results of the study, it is concluded that learning through the Project-Based Learning model can improve students' mathematical attitudes in solving geometry problems according to the Van Hiele level.
