Abstract
This study aims to improve the performance of the principal of SMPN 2 Lamboya Barat in carrying out academic supervision through mentoring activities by supervisors. The subjects in the study were the principal of SMPN Lamboya Barat, Waikabubak, East Nusa Tenggara. The data was taken by using observation techniques on the implementation of the academic supervision process carried out by the principal. The research procedure was carried out in a cyclic manner with the stages of planning, action, observation and reflection. The collected data is then analyzed by calculating the percentage of success of the action in each cycle. The results showed that after the mentoring activities were implemented, there was an increase in the performance of the principal in carrying out academic supervision activities where in the first cycle the percentage was 43% in the poor category and increased to 87% in the second cycle in the very good category.
