Abstract
The problems in this study are (1) Is there an effect of principal's motivation on the performance of elementary school teachers in Detukeli 1 Cluster? (2) How is the performance of elementary school teachers in Detukeli 1 Cluster? This study aims to find out more about: (1) The effect of principal's motivation on the performance of elementary school teachers in the Detukeli 1 Cluster, Detukeli District, Ende Regency. (2) The performance of elementary school teachers in the Detukeli 1 Cluster, Detukeli District, Ende Regency. The type of research used is quantitative research, which is a study that uses numbers to collect data and analyzes it using statistics. The sample in this study were all teachers in the Detukeli 1 Cluster, Detukeli District, Ende Regency, amounting to 44 people. Data collection methods used are questionnaires and documentation. Based on the results of this study: (1) Based on the data, the principal's motivation is said to be high. From the results of the calculation of motivational data of 70.43, the motivation variable of the elementary school principal in the Detukeli 1 Cluster, Detukeli District, Ende Regency is in the category of tending to be high. (2) The performance of teachers based on the results of the analysis obtained an average of 68.88, so the performance of elementary school teachers in the Detukeli 1 Cluster, Detukeli District, Ende Regency was in the category of tending to be moderate. (3) The hypothesis is accepted, because from the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is a significant and positive effect of the principal's motivation variable on the performance of elementary school teachers in the Detukeli 1 Cluster, Detukeli District, Ende Regency. The influence of the motivation of elementary school principals in the Detukeli Cluster 1, Detukeli District, Ende Regency which is designated by the value (r) 0.874 and R2 = 0.763 and the correlation coefficient value is 0.812 at 0.000 significance less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05).
