Abstract
This study aims to 1) determine the role of the principal as a supervisor at SDN 3 Wolowaru, 2) know the supervision process in improving the quality of learning for science subject teachers at SDN 3 Wolowaru, and 3) knowing the views of science subject teachers on the supervision process at SDN 3 Wolowaru, Ende District. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study consisted of key informants, namely the principal as a supervisor and other informants who were teachers of science subjects. In obtaining data, the writer used interview and observation techniques. The results showed that 1) the role of the principal as a supervisor is to strive for teachers to be more serious and enthusiastic and responsible for learning activities, 2) the principal's function as a supervisor is to provide direction, guidance, service and supervision, 3) the supervision process at SDN 3 Wolowaru has been carried out well by the principal as a supervisor, starting from the supervision program, the implementation of supervision, and the follow-up process from the results of supervision, 4) the view of the science subject teacher is very helpful in improving the quality of learning and influencing and improving the learning process of subjects IPA.
