Abstract
The formulation of the problem of this research is How to use serial image media in Indonesian language learning material to write simple essays in class III SDK Ndona 2 and How to improve Indonesian learning outcomes in simple essay writing material after using serial drawing media in grade III SDK Ndona 2 students? This study aims to determine the use of serial image media in Indonesian language learning materials to write simple essays in class III SDK Ndona 2. This type of research is classroom action research with the following stages: Planning, implementing, observing and reflecting by taking the location in SDK Ndona 2. The subjects of this study were 14 class III students consisting of 9 male students and 5 capable students. Data collection was carried out by analysis and tests. The data that has been collected is processed and analyzed further using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques.
The results showed that student learning outcomes about writing simple essays increased through the use of picture series media, where in the first cycle the completeness obtained by the researcher was only 35.71% or 5 people who reached completeness, while 64.28% or 9 people had not reached the KKM. However, in the second cycle it increased to 92.85% or 13 people reached the KKM while 7.14% or 1 student did not reach the KKM. From this explanation, it was concluded that student learning outcomes about writing simple essays could be increased through the use of serial image media in grade III SDK Ndona 2.
