Publication Ethics

Prima Magistra: Jurnal Ilmiah Kependidikan adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Detailed guidelines and international standards can be found on the COPE website.

This statement of scientific ethics constitutes a code of ethics for all parties involved in the publication process of this scientific journal: administrators, editors, reviewers, and authors. The Code of Ethics for Scientific Publication essentially upholds three ethical values ​​in publication: (i) Neutrality, which is freedom from conflicts of interest in managing publications; (ii) Fairness, which is granting authorship rights to those entitled to be authors; and (iii) Honesty, which is freedom from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism in publications.

Publisher's Responsibilities

  1. The publisher of Prima Magistra: Jurnal Ilmiah Kependidikan is responsible for publishing manuscripts that, after undergoing editing, review, and layout, comply with the publishing principles of Scientific Journals.
  2. The publisher of Prima Magistra: Jurnal Ilmiah Kependidikan is responsible for ensuring academic freedom for editors and reviewers in carrying out their respective duties.
  3. The publisher of Prima Magistra: Jurnal Ilmiah Kependidikan is responsible for maintaining privacy, protecting intellectual property and copyright, and editorial freedom.

Editorial Responsibilities

  1. The editor of Prima Magistra: Jurnal Ilmiah Kependidikan is responsible for deciding which manuscripts are suitable for publication through editorial board meetings, which adhere to applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification, and plagiarism.
  2. In the process of reviewing and accepting manuscripts, the editorial team of Prima Magistra: Jurnal Ilmiah Kependidikan adheres to the principle of equal treatment in making publication decisions, without discriminating based on race, gender, religion, ethnicity, citizenship, or political ideology of the authors.
  3. The editor and editorial team of Prima Magistra: Jurnal Ilmiah Kependidikan will not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts or manuscripts without the author's permission.
  4. Unpublished manuscripts will not be used by the editors of Prima Magistra: Jurnal Ilmiah Kependidikan for their own research purposes and will be returned directly to the authors.

Reviewer Responsibilities

  1. Reviewers at Prima Magistra: Jurnal Ilmiah Kependidikan assist the editor in making editorial decisions regarding submitted manuscripts.
  2. Reviewers at Prima Magistra: Jurnal Ilmiah Kependidikan are responsible for their recommendations regarding the manuscripts they review.
  3. Reviewers at Prima Magistra: Jurnal Ilmiah Kependidikan conduct objective reviews of manuscripts, supported by clear arguments.
  4. Reviewers at Prima Magistra: Jurnal Ilmiah Kependidikan are responsible for citations, references, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification, and plagiarism in the manuscripts they review.
  5. Reviewers at Prima Magistra: Jurnal Ilmiah Kependidikan must always maintain the confidentiality of information and not use information from the manuscripts they review for personal gain or benefit.

Author Responsibilities

  1. Authors must present their thoughts or research clearly and honestly, and without duplication, fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism.
  2. Authors are responsible for any confirmation submitted for their manuscripts.
    Authors must cite references to the opinions and works of others cited.
  3. Authors must write manuscripts ethically, honestly, and responsibly, in accordance with applicable scientific writing regulations.
  4. Authors must not submit multiple submissions to other journals while the review process at Prima Magistra: Jurnal Ilmiah Kependidikan is ongoing.
  5. Authors do not object to their manuscripts being edited during the review and layout process without changing the substance or central ideas of the paper.
