PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STUDENT TEAMS ACHIEVEMENT DIVISION (STAD) UNTUK MATERI SISTEM PERSAMAAN LINIER DUA VARIABEL PADA SISWA KELAS X SMABN 6 BORONG TAHUN 2014/2015
Abstract
The background of the researchers in conducting research by selecting this title is the low achievement of students in mathematics, especially for the system of two-variable linear equations in class X SMA Negeri 6 Borong in the 2014/2015 academic year. This is because as far as it is observed that learning in the classroom is dominated by the class still focused on the teacher as the main source of knowledge, lectures become the choice of learning strategies while students sit passively accepting knowledge from the teacher. Therefore, we need a new learning model that is more empowering and actively involves the role of students in teaching and learning activities in the classroom with the aim to improve mathematics learning achievement. This study aims to produce STAD type cooperative learning tools for two-variable linear equation system material in class X students of SMAN 6 Borong in the 2014/2015 academic year and find out the improvement of students' mathematics learning outcomes through STAD type cooperative learning for material systems for two-variable linear equations in students class X SMAN 6 Borong 2014/2015 school year.
This type of research is an experimental research and quantitative approach, which begins with the development of learning tools with STAD type cooperative learning models in the form of Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), Student Worksheets (LKS), and development of research instruments in the form of Learning Outcomes Test (THB). The population in this study were students of Class X of SMAN 6 Borong in the 2014/2015 school year and the sample was Class X as an experimental class of 20 people. Data analysis techniques using covariance analysis.
The results of the STAD cooperative learning tools for the Linear Equation System of Two Variables in Class X SMAN 6 Borong Academic Year 2014/2015 meet the validity, reliability, and good sensitivity requirements. These tools are RPP, LKS, and THB Based on Anakova results showing statistics F = 20.29035 with the numerator dk = 1 and the denominator 17, giving a significant value (F table = 4.45). This shows that STAD type of cooperative learning can improve learning outcomes especially the material of the Two Variable Linear Equation System.
