Authorship Criteria

Authorship Criteria

Jurnal Riset Ilmu Akuntansi (JRIA) establishes authorship criteria to ensure that every individual listed as an author has made a genuine contribution to the research and to the writing of the scholarly article. Authorship must be determined in a fair, transparent, and accountable manner.

Author Criteria
An individual may be listed as an author if they meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Made a substantial contribution to the conception or design of the study, data collection, data analysis and interpretation, or other essential aspects of conducting the research.
  2. Participated in drafting the manuscript or critically revising its intellectual content.
  3. Approved the final version of the manuscript to be submitted and published.
  4. Agree to be accountable for the content of the article and to help ensure that questions related to the accuracy and integrity of the research are appropriately addressed.

Corresponding Author
The corresponding author is responsible for communicating with the editor throughout the submission, review, revision, and publication process. The corresponding author must also ensure that all authors have approved the author order, the final manuscript, and the submission of the article to JRIA.

Non-Author Contributors
Individuals who provide only administrative assistance, technical support, funding, or other assistance that does not meet the authorship criteria should not be listed as authors. Their contributions may be recognized in the Acknowledgments section, where appropriate.

Changes in Authorship
Any addition, removal, or rearrangement of authors after a manuscript has been submitted must be accompanied by a clear justification and written consent from all authors involved. Such changes require the editor’s approval.

Authorship Integrity
Honorary authorship, ghost authorship (authorship without contribution), and the omission of contributors who meet the authorship criteria are not permitted. Each author must ensure that their contribution is stated honestly and can be fully accounted for.
