Authorship Criteria

Jurnal Equilibrium (JEQ) establishes authorship criteria to ensure that every individual listed as an author has made a substantive contribution to the research and the writing of the scholarly article. The determination of authorship must be conducted in a fair, transparent, and accountable manner.

Authorship Criteria

An individual may be listed as an author if they meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Made a substantial contribution to the conception or design of the study, data collection, analysis and interpretation of data, or other significant aspects of the research process.
  2. Participated in drafting the manuscript or critically revised its intellectual content.
  3. Approved the final version of the manuscript to be submitted and published.
  4. Agreed to take responsibility for the content of the article and to assist in ensuring that any questions regarding the accuracy or integrity of the research are addressed appropriately.

Corresponding Author

The corresponding author is responsible for communicating with the editor throughout the submission, review, revision, and publication process. The corresponding author must also ensure that all authors have approved the order of authorship, the final manuscript, and the submission of the article to JEQ.

Non-Author Contributors

Individuals who provide only administrative assistance, technical support, funding, or other forms of support that do not meet the authorship criteria should not be listed as authors. Their contributions may be acknowledged in the "Acknowledgments" section, if deemed appropriate.

Changes to Authorship

Any addition, removal, or change in the order of authors after a manuscript has been submitted must be accompanied by a clear justification and the written consent of all involved authors. Such changes are subject to approval by the editor. Authorship Integrity

Practices such as honorary authorship, ghost authorship (i.e., including a name as an author without any substantive contribution), and the omission of individuals who have made contributions that meet the criteria for authorship are prohibited. Every author is required to ensure that their contribution is stated honestly and that they can take full responsibility for it.
